Hello and Welcome!
Well, this is something new! Bill-Tek Electronics has done many things since I first started in the late 1980's but never would have I have dreamed that I would be developing software, but here we are.
So, here is our story. In the late 1980's I started Bill-Tek Electronics as a personal computer repair company. I did that for a number of years then stopped to work for another company. I later designed, programmed and built some electronic devices for radio controlled aircraft, as well as building and selling battery packs for R/C, models. After shutting that service down, we - my Son and I, branched into Wedding DJ Services under the name of Music First DJ Services. We operated that business for a few years, long enough to pay for the equipment that we purchased to run the company, and then got tired of that too. We sold the audio equipment, but held onto the camera, and printer that I purchased to build a Photo Booth for weddings. The equipment for that photo booth is still with us. Recently my wife, she is a teacher, mentioned that her school was having an event and that they may want a photo booth. Well that is where this new venture started. I found some software to run the booth, and we used it. This software worked well, but was extremely slow performing, and we though that we could do better.
My son is a software developer, and I have done a bit of programming myself too. We have decided that as a side project, we will see if we can come up with some software that will work better for your "Average Joe" to run a photo booth. We would like to make our booth available to local charities and schools at a price that is affordable for them, and allows as much of the funds raised by the event to go to the designated cause as possible. We would like others to be able to do this as well. With that in mind we will be making the attempt to develop professional grade photo booth software that is low-cost, but still very functional.
I will be updating this site with information as we progress through the process, so stay tuned!
Thanks for visiting!
Bill
